Kyoto Japan

Kyoto evokes a magical Zen vibe with its location in the mountains as well as beautiful alleyways with Japanese temples and Machiya townhouses.

Kyoto Japan

The city shines with history with temples and palaces such as the Golden Pavilion or Ryoan-ji Temple. The clean and cleverly designed alleys of Kyoto contribute greatly to the city's streetscape and are an iconic part of the city. Nearby sits the breathtaking Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, whose bamboo streets transport you to another world. The city also attaches great importance to preserving its culture, buildings and cuisine such as Kaiseki Dining and Gion Matsuri, and even today in the almost 1250 year old city you can still find customs and traditions that have been passed down over the centuries. In terms of lifestyle, Kyoto has a lot to offer - Michelin-starred restaurants at the top of the world as well as the front-runners of the best hotels in the world that impress with their Japanese flair. The former capital of Japan still has a great influence on japanese tourism and culture today.

Advice: Before travelling, please check the political situation in the country and whether it is safe to travel as some of the destinations listed are experiencing such conditions at the moment.
